Security at Keynate

How Keynate protects your site and your data, in plain words. We list only what is true today.

Your own server

Every customer site runs on its own private server that only your business uses. It is not a shared platform, so other customers’ sites are not on it.

HTTPS everywhere

keynate.com, your dashboard and every site we set up are served over HTTPS. We request and renew the secure lock for your web address for you.

Backups you can restore

Your site is backed up every day and before every update. Backups are encrypted and kept for 90 days. Every week we restore your latest backup into a test copy to prove it works. After you cancel, we keep an encrypted final backup for 60 days so you can come back, then we delete it.

Updates only with your OK

An update installs only when you say yes. A safety copy is made first, and if the site fails its health check afterwards, the update is undone automatically.

Paid features are checked on the server

What your plan includes is decided by a signed licence that your server checks, not by what a page on the screen shows.

Two-step sign-in

Keynate staff sign in with two-step verification (a code from an authenticator app). You can turn it on for your own keynate.com account, and your site’s admin asks its owners and admins to turn it on.

Your data, and deleting it

You can download a copy of your content from your admin at any time. After you cancel, your data is deleted when the final backup period ends, except records the law makes us keep, such as invoices. To ask for deletion earlier, email [email protected] or read how on the data deletion page.

Payments

Card and UPI payments are processed by Razorpay’s secure checkout. You see one all-in price before you pay.

What we do not claim

Keynate does not hold security certifications such as ISO 27001 or SOC 2. This page describes what we do, and we will not show a badge we have not earned.

Report a security problem

If you find a weakness in keynate.com, a Keynate site or an app, please email [email protected]. Tell us what you found, the page or address, and the steps to repeat it. We read every report.

  • Please give us a reasonable time to fix the problem before you share it with anyone.
  • Please do not look at or change other people’s data, and do not run tests that slow the service down.

Our security.txt file lists the same contact for automated tools.
