Referral Program Terms

These terms apply to the Keynate “Refer & earn” program run by KEYNATE PRIVATE LIMITED (“Keynate”, “we”). They add to our Terms of Service. By sharing your invite link or code you accept them. The current rewards for your country are shown on the Refer & earn page and in your account.

Who can take part

  • Referrer: a Keynate customer with at least one paid order that was not refunded, whose account is in good standing.
  • Friend (referee): a person or business that has never paid Keynate before, signing up with their own name, email, phone and payment details.
  • Keynate staff may take part only for people outside Keynate. We may stop or change the program at any time; rewards already credited stay in your wallet.

How a referral is counted

  • Your friend must open your invite link (or enter your code at their first checkout). The link is remembered for 30 days on their device. The last link they opened counts.
  • A friend can be referred once, for life. The referrer is fixed when they sign up or at their first checkout and never changes later.
  • One code per order: your friend uses either your invite code or a coupon, whichever saves more.
  • Qualifying plan: a referral counts only when your friend buys Pro Ultra Max: for their first site, or by upgrading their first site to it later. A site on another plan pays the normal price and earns no reward; the referral stays open, so a later upgrade to Pro Ultra Max still counts.

What each side gets

  • Your friend gets 10% off their first site when it is for Pro Ultra Max, as shown at checkout. There is no fixed maximum amount.
  • You get 10% of your friend’s first payment as Keynate Wallet credit. The percent is worked out on the amount your friend paid for their first qualifying order (a purchase of, or upgrade to, Pro Ultra Max), not counting GST, server (VPS) fees and setup fees. It is credited to your Keynate Wallet as soon as your friend’s site is live (if we ever add an extra waiting period after that, it is shown in your account). If your friend’s setup fails, they are refunded automatically and no reward is given. The credit is never more than what that order earned Keynate, so Keynate never sells at a loss and you may see a smaller amount on a heavily discounted order.
  • Credit pays Keynate orders only (renewals, add-ons, apps, new sites). It expires after the period shown in your wallet (12 months unless stated) and can’t be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged for cash.

Limits

  • You can earn rewards for up to 10 friends a month and up to ₹20,000 a year per referrer (for rewards in another currency, the yearly limit shown in your account). The limits you have used are shown in your account. Referrals above a limit don’t earn credit; your friend keeps their discount.
  • Rewards are given in the currency of your friend’s order and stay in that currency.

Refunds and chargebacks

  • If your friend’s setup fails, they are refunded automatically and no reward is given. The same applies if the order is refunded or cancelled before their site is live.
  • If it is refunded or charged back after the credit was given, we take the credit back from your unspent wallet credit. Any part already spent is set off against your future rewards. We never charge your card for it and your balance never goes below zero.
  • Two such take-backs within 12 months may pause your access to the program.

Fair use

  • No self-referrals, duplicate or fake accounts, shared payment methods with your friend, or paying someone to sign up.
  • No spam: share only with people who would want to hear from you, and follow the rules of the platform you post on. Don’t bid on “Keynate” in search ads or pretend to be Keynate.
  • To keep the program fair we check each referral for signs of abuse (for example the same person, device, network or payment method on both sides). We store these checks as one-way codes, not the raw details, for 24 months (see our Privacy Policy). A referral may be held for review for a few days; you see only its status, never the checks. We may refuse or reverse rewards that break these terms.

Taxes

Rewards are credit for Keynate services, not cash. Any income tax on them is the recipient’s own matter. If the law asks us to deduct or report tax on rewards to a business (for example under Indian income-tax rules on business benefits), we will tell you first.
